Police believe someone might have been throwing projectiles at transit buses along Hastings Street.

This morning, Vancouver police issued a news release revealing that 26 windows have been broken on these vehicles since January 17.

Investigators believe that they all occurred in the early mornings along Hastings between Gore and Cambie streets.

"The frequency of these incidents is increasing and we're worried someone could get hurt," Const. Tania Visintin said in the release.

The VPD is conducting an investigation with Transit Police.

“In each of these cases, the broken windows weren’t immediately noticed by the drivers or reported by the passenger,” Metro Vancouver Transit Police Const. Amanda Steed said in the same release. “It was only after the drivers finished their shift that the damage was discovered.”
