Save-On-Foods recalls Valentine cake due to undeclared nuts

      Anyone who is allergic to nuts should take note of this dessert that was found to contain allergens that weren’t stated on the packaging.

      The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced on February 19 that Save-On-Foods has initiated a recall for its Valentine Eruption Cake because it contains almonds and walnuts that aren’t declared on the label.

      The cake is sold in 325 grams with UPC 0 062639 454456 and all dates codes up to and including 2021.FE.23.

      There have been reactions reported in association with the consumption of this product.

      Anyone with allergies to almonds or walnuts shouldn’t eat this product as it could cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

      Anyone who has this product should return it to the place of purchase or dispose of it.

      The product was sold in B.C. as well as the Yukon, Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
