Due to financial challenges either exacerbated or caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Canada saw numerous businesses downsizing, being sold off, or permanently shutting down.
In British Columbia, one business that is heading in the other direction by expanding is France's beauty and personal care multinational retailer Sephora.
Sephora Canada, which was established in 2003, announced today (May 25) that it will officially launch its second location in Burnaby (and 14th location in B.C.) at Brentwood Town Centre (1309–4525 Lougheed Highway), with a grand opening on June 4.
The new store covers 4,563 square feet to offer a multitude of makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance products. Among them are Sephora’s own brand as well as those that have garnered niche followings, such as Youth to the People, Olaplex, Maison Margiela, and more.
This will be the company’s 82nd store in Canada and it has another location in Burnaby at Metropolis at Metrotown.
Sephora has safety protocols in place at all of its stores and customers can opt to make purchases online and pick up at the store.
