Sip and savour wines from more than 90 producers at this year’s California Wines Tour in Vancouver

      Spring is about to get a lot better for oenophiles in Vancouver. That’s because on Monday, April 25th, the Hyatt Regency Hotel will be transformed into a tasty tour of California wine regions and delicious food pairings.

      From 7 to 9:30 p.m., visitors can immerse themselves in the walk-around tasting event, sipping on wines produced within the many regions in California. There could not be a more entertaining way to hone your knowledge of grape varietals, production methods, and the wineries found in the Golden State.

      Hosted by California Wines Canada and the consul general of the U.S., the event will provide you with a temporary escape from this city’s unpredictable weather. With each sip, you’ll be transported to a sunny vineyard in Napa Valley, the Santa Cruz Mountains, or Los Carneros.

      “We are thrilled to have our California Wine Tour return to Vancouver after two long years,” shares Danielle Giroux, director of California Wines Canada. “We know our wineries are excited as well—there will be more than 90 producers from the Golden State attending, which is a record number.”

      There will be more than 400 wines available for sipping and savouring at the event. However, it is a weeknight so remember to pace yourself.

      During the two-and-a-half-hour experience, folks can travel to the main wine-growing regions of California. The tasting rooms have been divided by appellation, such as Napa and Sonoma, providing guests with the opportunity to discover what makes each region unique.

      Those who attend the event will also get to sample scrumptious small bites that perfectly complement the main wine styles from California.

      The California Wines Tour is limited to 250 guests to ensure a safe and intimate experience for all. are on sale now for $125, including service fees until April 10th.
