Change rooms, lockers, merchandise, and towel rentals aren't available and snorkels are banned.

But three of the Vancouver park board's outdoor pools—Kitsilano, New Brighton, and Second Beach—will reopen on Monday (July 13).

Swimming will be restricted to those who are able to buy tickets online the day before, starting at 9:30 a.m.

There may also be drop-in spaces available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the pools from the start of the first session.

Anyone doing laps will be restricted to 45 minutes in the water, whereas casual swimmers can remain for 90 minutes.

The pool will be cleared for cleaning every one-and-a-half hours, according to the park board.

Swimmers are being encourage to remain two metres away from people not in their household or in their social bubble.

Maple Grove pool will remain closed for now.
