Vancouver’s Bits + Bobs Market gives new life to “samples and seconds”

Thrifters, bargain hunters, and those who just enjoy having one of the last (or only) items of their kind will want to run—not walk—to the Bits + Bobs Market.

Hosted by Got Craft!, Vancouver’s largest indie craft fair, Bits + Bobs debuts its first annual market boasting “samples and seconds” from more than 40 small local businesses in February.

This one-of-a-kind event is comprised of vendors who are blasting off reduced priced items, one-off samples, and discontinued or seasonal items—so if you’re the kind of person who loves to say, “I got it from an indie maker, but it’s not available anymore,” then this sale is for you.

For example, you’ll find limited-edition wildcrafted botanical essential oils by Indigenous wellness brand Bear Essential Oils, or feminist goods that inspire by Emma Hands Design, all while BAK’D doles out gourmet cookies in bestselling flavours: gimme s’mores and matcha latte.

Expect to peruse clothing, ceramics, paper goods, art, jewelry, homewares, and more—but blink twice and they’ll be gone.
