      Sure, there are a bunch of fun events happening in Vancouver this week. It’s a big, cool city, so of course rad things are happening. We’ll get to those. But first: 

      Here’s your casual reminder that Tuesday is, in fact, Valentine’s Day. Just in case it may have slipped your mind. Don’t panic; we’ve put together a list of date spots, gift ideas, and even a few spirits that will be sure to save the day. 

      Now, on to those events.

      Valentine’s Day: Burlesque Duos at the Rio Theatre

      Burlesque Duos returns to the Rio Theatre's stage on Monday, February 14. This beloved annual East Vancouver Valentine's Day tradition is the ultimate spectacle of partnership and creativity.

      When: Feb. 14

      Admission: $30 advance, $40 at door

      The Parlour Magic Show

      Join host Rob Teszka as he presents fantastic magicians and talented variety artists in a hidden cabaret in the Park Pub.

      Rights Back At You: A Podcast Listening Party

      On Thursday, February 16 at 6pm, join Massy Arts Society, Massy Books, and Amnesty International Canada for the launch of brand-new podcast, Rights Back at You. Learn more about the podcast in our story here.

      Friends of the Library Big Book Sale

      Find something special at the Friends of the Library book sale while supporting special projects at NVDPL. Explore a great selection of books, DVDs, CDs, and more for all ages. Most items are under $2.

      Love Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

      The Capilano suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure, Cliffwalk’s Arc de Lumina and Park will all feature Valentine’s themed lighting experiences and activities.
