Do bears scare you? Killer dolls maybe?

How about the thought of slowly freezing to death on a ski hill?

Whatever gives you the willies, here's 10 horror flicks currently streaming on Amazon Prime that I've given a severed thumbs-up to over the years.

      Slither

Slither (2006) "...an over-the-top splatter-comedy about sluglike thingies from outer space that infest a backwoods community of brain-dead hicks and turn them into bile-spewing zombies." Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

The Crazies (2010) "Activism-minded moviegoers will welcome the second coming of Romero’s cautionary tale, but they’ll have to sit through one hell of a nasty pitchfork scene to get the message." Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

Backcountry (2015) “If you’re thinking about going camping anywhere bears might be, Backcountry is definitely not for you. It’s Stephen Colbert’s worst nightmare come to life, basically.” Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

      Cabin in the Woods

The Cabin in the Woods (2012) “The Cabin in the Woods is crammed with so many twists and turns that the mere thought of reviewing it and ruining the fun for others is scary in and of itself. But I don’t feel bad about revealing at least one huge surprise: it’s the best horror flick ever made in Vancouver.” Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

The Woman in Black (2012) “Creepy enough to recommend to long-suffering horror fans who are due for an old-fashioned respite from the gory, hyperactive shockfests of today.” Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

Frozen (2010) “Green avoids Hatchet‘s corny clichés and totally redeems himself with a harrowing portrait of humans at the mercy of the great outdoors.” Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

      It Follows

It Follows (2015) “Every once in a while a low-budget indie fright flick comes along that makes everything on the major studios’ horror plate look like a pile of steaming crap.” Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

Child’s Play (1988) “With equal portions of frolic and fear, Child’s Play is a hilarious hair-raiser that is highly recommended for horror fans.” Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

P2 (2007) "...an old-school nail biter that's sure to make late-night holiday shoppers think twice as they push the button marked P2 on the parkade elevator." Find it on Amazon Prime Video.

A Perfect Getaway (2009) "...a riveting horror-thriller that should do for hiking in Hawaii what Hostel did for backpacking in Slovakia." Find it on Amazon Prime Video.
