Actor Neil Patrick Harris took to Instagram to proclaim his love for the Great White North this morning (May 7), posting a video of himself singing “O Canada” atop a snow-blanketed mountain and officially cementing himself as an honorary Vancouverite.

“On this, my last weekend in Canada, I take an amazing hike,” Harris says in the video before launching into a short rendition of the national anthem where he notes he’s called the country home for the last two years.

“While I’m anxious to get back to my life in NYC, I’ll sure miss the nature and majestic beauty of [Canada],” he wrote in the post’s caption. “Vancouver is extraordinary.”

Best known for his role as playboy Barney in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, Harris has resided in Vancouver with his family since 2016 for the filming of Netflix’s Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. During that time, the 44-year-old has documented his time in the region on Instagram, posting pictures  and videos of himself, his husband, and two kids at spots like Cypress Mountain. In 2016, he was also seen enjoying the Vancouver Pride Parade festivities and the Celebration of Lights.

Harris confirmed on Twitter that tomorrow (May 8) is the final day of filming for Lemony Snicket's third and final season, in which he plays Count Olaf. “For over two years I’ve gotten to play in the most creative, visual, challenging, fantastical sandbox of my career,” he said. “I’m super proud, and will miss it greatly.”
