Actor Amanda Seyfried is no stranger to Vancouver. The Mean Girls and Mamma Mia star previously filmed the 2011 fantasy drama Red Riding Hood in B.C., even fitting in a workout at Kitsilano's Ron Zalko Fitness.

She's back in town, currently shooting The Art of Racing in the Rain, which began filming on April 30 and will continue until July 23.

The film, directed by Simon Curtis (Goodbye Christopher Robin), is an adaptation of Garth Stein's novel about a dog (voiced by Kevin Costner) who reflects upon life lessons he learned from his owners, a race-car driver (played by Milo Ventimiglia) and his wife (Seyfried), who is struggling with brain cancer. The cast also includes Gary Cole, Kathy Baker, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and Martin Donovan.

While Seyfried's been here, she's been enjoying some of what the city has to offer.

Seyfried and her husband, actor Thomas Sadoski (John Wick), attended a Vancouver Whitecaps soccer game at B.C. Place on May 26, and Seyfried posed for a photo at the game with former Whitecaps player and club ambassador Carl Valentine.

She also attended Bard on the Beach on June 21.

She has also posted several snaps of B.C., including aerial shots, on her Instagram account.

Seyfried reprised her role in the ABBA musical rom-com sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, which is set to hit theatres on July 20. Meanwhile, Seyfried was recently reported to have signed on to star in the forthcoming supernatural thriller You Should Have Left, co-starring Kevin Bacon.
