There's been a lot of Batbuzz going on lately.

Whether you're interested in Bruce Wayne's no-no place or Kevin Smith, fans can have the best of both worlds tonight (September 25) when the first Canadian edition of the podcast Fatman Beyond, hosted by Smith and Marc Bernardin, takes place at 8 p.m. at the Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway).

The podcast launched in 2012 originally as Fatman on Batman, with a focus on Batman and DC Comics.

Smith changed the name of the podcast after losing over 50 pounds in the wake of a heart attack in February.

On a recent episode of the podcast, Smith endorsed Jon Hamm as Batman as a "brilliant idea".

Smith is currently in Vancouver filming an episode of Supergirl.

However, although Vancouver is renowned for its picturesque views, that turned out to be just a bunch of trash. When Smith woke up and looked out his Sutton Place Hotel suite on September 20, he had a view of nothing but garbage.

CTV News reported that the roof is undergoing repairs and the garbage bags were filled with debris. The hotel said they were addressing the situation immediately.

Where is Batman when you need him?

Smith was one of the celebrity supporters of the Rio Theatre's campaign to purchase its property and is also a Vancouver Film School alum.
