Screening at the Roundhouse tonight (November 5) thanks to a partnership between DOXA and Music On Main's Modulus Festival, Milford Graves Full Mantis brings the right approach to its subject, the genius avant-jazz drummer and percussionist Milford Graves.

Here's a movie that wants to understand “swing”, the paradoxical mysteries of “feel”, and all that other stuff that separates the heart from the metronome. 

Unmissable if you care about these things, which Vancouver’s outsider music community surely does.
