Former CTV news anchor Mike Killeen joins CBC Vancouver News team

      Today (November 5), CBC Vancouver announced its new lineup for its TV newscasts.

      Mike Killeen and Anita Bathe will cohost the 6 p.m. CBC Vancouver News, with senior meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

      Killeen, whose career in journalism spans over 30 years, was a CTV News at Six co-anchor with Tamara Taggart before being cut during a major "refresh" at the station in April. (They were succeeded by Mi-Jung Lee and Scott Roberts in August.)

      Bathe joined CBC Vancouver in 2016 and has been a member of CBC Vancouver's investigative unit.

      Dan Burritt, who has previously hosted CBC Vancouver News at 6 and 11 p.m. as well as weekends, will now host the 11 p.m. news. 

      Meanwhile Lien Yeung, who joined CBC's Vancouver news team in 2013 and has hosted the 11 p.m. news, will host weekends, which has been hosted by Tanya Fletcher.

      The new team will begin on November 19 with the 6 p.m. newscast.
