Netflix renews Vancouver-shot Chilling Adventures of Sabrina for Parts 3 and 4

      There's good news for fans of the Metro Vancouver–shot Netflix coming-of-age, supernatural-horror series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

      Netflix announced today (December 18) that the series has been greenlit for 16 more episodes, to air as parts three and four. Production on the third and fourth parts will commence in 2019 although a specific date has not been announced yet.

      The first part, consisting of 10 episodes, premiered on October 26, with a holiday season special having recently aired on December 14. Production on the show recently wrapped in Vancouver on December 5.

      Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

      In this adaptation of the Archie Comic book, Kiernan Shipka plays the lead role of teen witch Sabrina, who struggles to reconcile her part-witch, part-human identity as she uses her abilities to fend off the forces of evil.

      The cast also includes Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, and Gavin Leatherwood.

      Parts 3 and 4 will feature a number of newcomers, including Jedidiah Goodacre (The Originals) as Dorian Gray and Alexis Denisof (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Mary Wardwell’s boyfriend, Adam Masters.

      Production on sibling series Riverdale, also adapted from Archie Comics, continues on Season 3 until April 19.
