While Vancouver has been a hotbed for superhero TV series for some time, the city has also become the locale for several Archieverse TV series as well.

In addition to Riverdale, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is also shot here.

Kiernan Shipka plays the title character of the part-mortal and part-witch Sabrina Spellman, who uses her special abilities to fight evil forces.

Based on the eponymous Archie comic book, the first season of the supernatural coming-of-age series was released on October 26, 2018.

The second part of Season 1 will be released on April 5. To whet your appetite, the official trailer for part two was released today (March 18).

And there’s plenty more in store for fans: Sabrina has also already been renewed for Season 3 and 4.

Meanwhile, a third Archieverse TV series will be the musical dramedy Katy Keene, about four friends pursuing their dreams in New York City.

However, unlike the locally shot Riverdale (which is shooting Season 3 until April 4) and Sabrina, production for the TV pilot of this new spinoff series is taking place in NYC.

Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) has been cast in the lead role. Riverdale’s Josie McCoy, played by Ashleigh Murray, will also be joining in as a cast member, in addition to Camille Hyde, Lucien Laviscount, Julia Chan (who cohosts CBC’s The Great Canadian Baking Show), and Jonny Beauchamp.
