A classic anthology TV series is heading back to home screens—and it was filmed right here in Vancouver.

The original Twilight Zone, created by Rod Serling, ran from 1959 to 1964, covered a wide range of stories, often with a moral or explored what-if situations, and spanned numerous genres, ranging from science fiction or fantasy to mystery, crime, horror, psychological thriller, and more.

It has since been revived as a 1983 feature film, a revival series from 1985 to 1989, and a second revival series from 2002 to 2003, which was shot in Vancouver.

The latest revival was also filmed here, shooting from October 1, 2018, to March 20.

This new iteration is hosted, narrated, and executive produced by filmmaker Jordan Peele, who made his directorial debut with his critically acclaimed 2017 horror feature Get Out (for which won the Oscar for best original screenplay) and followed it up with the recent release Us.

Although Season 1 began streaming on CBS All Access today (April 1), it will premiere in Canada with a two-hour special at 9 p.m. (PT) on Thursday (April 4) on Citytv (check local listings).

Among the stars who’ll appear in this first season will be hometown talent Seth Rogen and Jacob Tremblay.

Other actors who will appear in various episodes include Tracy Morgan, Kumail Nanjiani, Ginnifer Goodwin, John Cho, Sanaa Lathan, Greg Kinnear, Steven Yeun, Zazie Beetz, Chris O’Dowd, Damnson Idris, Adam Scott, and more.
