You know "Who Let the Dogs Out?", because everyone on the planet does, and you might not think you care much about the story behind the Baha Men's 2000 hit single.

Ben Sisto, on the other hand, spent eight years of his life obsessively investigating the authorship of the song, which has been the subject of various lawsuits and out-of-court settlements. In this hourlong doc from Vancouver's own Brent Hodge (A Brony Tale, Freaks and Geeks), Sisto asks some pretty profound questions about creativity, ownership, and where ideas come from in the first place.

In the end, we may never know who let the dogs out, but it turns out there's more to the question than you might have thought.
