Uwe Boll says fuck you all, live at the Rio

He’s regarded as the worst filmmaker of all time, but Uwe Boll commands a lot of affection from his fans.

From his notorious video game adaptations, like 2003’s House of the Dead, to the more personal work of his later career—2007's crazed Postal, 2013's Assault on Wall Street—Boll ploughed onward to direct an incredible 32 features before turning in the camera for his real calling as the owner of Gastown’s award-winning Bauhaus.

But all this aside, it’s Boll’s weird charisma and over-the-top personality that have kept us interested.

On Monday (April 29), the auteur behind Blubberella arrives at the Rio Theatre for a Q&A following a screening of Sean Patrick Shaul’s fine portrait of the man, Fuck You All: The Uwe Boll Story.

Hardier patrons can stick around for a later screening of Boll’s (really not too bad) 2009 flick, Rampage.

      Details here.
