Kiefer Sutherland tells Ontario premier Doug Ford to stop exploiting his grandfather for political purposes

      Today, the actor best known as tough guy Jack Bauer on 24 has decided to take down a real-life politician.

      Over Twitter, Kiefer Sutherland let go a blast at Ontario premier Doug Ford for invoking his grandfather's name and image to purport that he's a man of the people.

      Sutherland's maternal granddad is none other than left-wing icon Tommy Douglas, who introduced medicare when he was premier of Saskatchewan.

      Douglas was also the NDP's first federal leader.

      "I personally find your comparison of your policies to his offensive," Sutherland wrote. "After all, I knew Tommy Douglas and you Sir, are no Tommy Douglas.

      The message came in response to the following tweet by Ford.
