Mere months after opening, a new cinema in West Vancouver has been targeted by vandalism.

An incident took place sometime between August 16 and 17 during a late-night movie screening at Cineplex Cinemas and VIP at Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver.

After the audience had exited the theatre, cinema staff discovered that some of the furniture had been extensively damaged.

CTV News reported that it was during a screening of The Fast and the Furious spinoff Hobbs and Shaw in a theatre in the adults-only VIP Cinemas section, which features food service and luxury reclining seats.

The damage is estimated to cost $2,000.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying three men in the above images who may have information about the incident.

The Georgia Straight is contacting the WVPD for further details.
