Ben Mulroney declares that he's not interested in becoming Canada's next prime minister
It's not looking like the 2023 federal election will be a showdown between two privileged sons of former prime ministers.
CTV broadcaster Ben Mulroney, son of Brian Mulroney, tweeted a quote by Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman in response to a Toronto Sun columnist's suggestion that he could replace Andrew Scheer as Conservative leader.
"If drafted, I will not run; if nominated, I will not accept; if elected, I will not serve."
He also told his CTV cohosts that he's not interested in becoming Canada's next prime minister.
