Archer and Arrested Development star Jessica Walter dies at 80

      Alas, there’s sad news for TV viewers.

      Emmy Award-winning actor Jessica Walter, who had a career over several decades, died at home on March 24 in New York at the age of 80, as confirmed by the Hollywood Reporter.

      She made her feature film debut in the 1964 film Lilith, and became well-known for performances as Lucille Bluth in the sitcom Arrested Development and Malory Archer on the animated comedy series Archer.  

      She won an Emmy award for her lead role on the police drama TV series Amy Prentiss, which ran from 1974 to 1975.

      Her husband, Emmy and Tony Award–winning actor Ron Liebman, died at the age of 82 in 2019.
