If you're the type of movie-goer who likes to make music part of your big-screen experience, then the Rio Theatre has a couple of prime options to consider.

Next Tuesday (October 6) you can revel in the timeless sounds of the world's best-ever pop band, the Beatles, with a screening of Richard Lester's 1964 Fab Four epic, A Hard Day's Night.

I dont know about you, but I can watch the Beatles in their youthful glory playing "I Should Have Known Better" on a train forever.

And if you just happen to be one of those weirdo freaks who doesn't love the lads from Liverpool, another choice would be The Band: The Last Waltz, screening on October 10.

Director Martin Scorsese’s love letter to what was arguably Canada's best rock band--unless you're a Rush or Tragically Hip fan--the movie documents the Band's final performance on November 25, 1976, and features guest appearances by Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield, Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Ringo Starr, Ronnie Hawkins, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood, Neil Diamond, and Eric Clapton.

If there's ever been a more stellar collection of talent gathered together on one stage for one night, I can't recall it.

Tickets for A Hard Days Night and The Band: The Last Waltz are priced at $15, and you can find them here.
