Attention emerging musicians, composers, managers, and music supervisors: the diversity-minded Vancouver International Film Festival AMP Talent Accelerator is offering up its second annual free professional development program.

The project is seeking music-and-film creatives from BIPOC and other underrepresented communities for the 2020 fest. The application deadline is August 14; you can find details here.

The Accelerator provides exclusive mentorship and learning opportunities, including free access to the VIFF AMP Music in Film Summit. This year's event explores music and its uses across the screen, with a speaker lineup that includes music supervisors Morgan Rhodes (Selma, Dear White People) and Nora Felder (Stranger Things).

VIFF 2020 runs from September 24 to October 7, while the AMP Music in Film Summit takes place online over two days, October 3 and 4.
