Listening to the music of Black Gardenia has been likened to taking a bath in a barrel of finely aged bourbon.

If you fancy total immersion in vintage aural whiskey head for the ANZA Club this Sunday (December 3) when the quintet--led by singer and ukulele ace Daphne Roubini--launches its new album Lucky Star. With roots in old London, Black Gardenia plays a lively mix of popular jazz, cabaret, and country music from the years 1920 to 1950 with good humour, style, and finesse.
