Vancouver’s Japandroids were busy in 2017, rattling off tour dates that took them both across North America as well as to the England, France, Belgium, Mexico, and Australia.

The duo has been working its latest album, the Anti- full-length Near To The Wild Heart Of Life.

To their credit, Japandroids singer-guitarist Brian King and drummer David Prowse tend to prefer multiple dates in small venues when playing their hometown. That means fans typically get to see them in rooms like the Cobalt as opposed to, say, BC Place.

In keeping with that tradition, Japandroids have just announced today back-to-back Vancouver shows for this spring. The band will play Fortune Sound Club on April 27-28, tickets a bargain at $19.99 plus service charges.

Following the Fortune appearances King and Prowse will head back out on the road for shows that include an appearance at Atlanta’s high-powered Shaky Knees Festival 2018, as well as dates in Los Angeles, Kansas City, and San Francisco.
