Organizers of Vancouver’s Westward Music Festival have announced a new round of artists who’ll be coming on board for the second installment of the event, taking place late this summer.

Joining the festival, in its second year and running in multiple venues across the city from September 13-16, will be gorgeously ruminative singer-songwriter Andy Shauf, producer-turned-synthpop up-and-comer Sophie, Canadian indie-pop stalwart Chad VanGaalen, and A$AP Mob member A$AP Twelvyy.

Also signing on are critically adored Margaret Glaspy, Polaris Prize nominee Jennifer Castle, Johnny Balik, Tennessee neosoul alchemist Johnny Balik, and highly regarded Indiana producer Jlin.

Earlier this year Westward announced headliners that include Kali Uchis, Kelela, and Blood Orange, Angel Olsen, Metz, Mudhoney and Rhye. Vancouver favourites the Odds and We Are the City will also play the festival.

Shows will take place in some of Vancouver's favourite live-music rooms, ranging from the intimate (Biltmore, Fox Cabaret, and Fortune Sound Club) to the regal (Orpheum and the Vogue).

Tickets are available at westwardfest.com and ticketfly.com. Those who enjoy interacting with their fellow human beings can also pick up tickets at Red Cat Records locations.
