Red Truck Beer announces Coleman Hell and Allen Stone as headliners for Truck Stop Concert Series

Red Truck Beer has rolled out the first two headliners for the 2018 edition of its Truck Stop Concert Series.

Genre-blurring Thunder Bay songwriter Coleman Hell anchors the June 16 kickoff show, with Seattle indie-rock darlings Pickwick, 2017 Truck Stop Talent Search winner Sam the Astronaut, and Vancouver up-and-comers Aviator Shades on the undercard.

Hell—who’s blessed with one of the greatest names in pop music—seemingly rocketed out of nowhere in 2015 with his platinum-shifting debut single “2 Heads”. His current single, “Killer”, takes aim at the dancefloor, mixing club-friendly beats with lyrics like “When I’m watching you get ready for work/I pretend it’s a strip tease in reverse”, the singer describing the vibe as “something to soundtrack a late night.”

Seattle soulman Allen Stone headlines the July 14 second installment of the Truck Stop Concert Series, with the impeccably tailored R&B revivalist Nick Waterhouse opening. Also performing will be Lotusland's Antonio Larosa and the Eleven Twelves.

The third headliner for the country-leaning August 11 showcase will be released in coming weeks.

As in past years, the Truck Stop Concert Series will take place at Red Truck Beer’s Brewery Creek location off Main. The focus this year is again not only bringing in top-tier headliners, but also supporting the local music scene. Both Aviator Shades and Larosa reached the finals of a Truck Stop Talent Search contest that featured a showcase at Vancouver’s Railway Stage & Beer Cafe in April.

For a limited time Red Truck is releasing $30 general admission tickets for each show, with early-bird Tailgate passes for all three date running for $75. Those prices rise to $40/$100 after the early bird offer is over. Ticket go on sale tommorow at 10 a.m.
