On Our Radar: We Found a Lovebird floats with the clouds with video for new single "Jesus and Radiohead"

The sunny, hazy-lazy days of summer call for the upbeat sounds of Vancouver's We Found a Lovebird--so it's fitting they're releasing a video for a new single.

"Jesus and Radiohead", from an upcoming album, goes animated this time, featuring a cast of scarf-wearing, tousel-haired, wide-eyed characters who have a penchant for riding clouds. There's also a magical set of headphones that transports them to a better place.

As usual, the band defies genre, this outing falling somewhere around gentle, ethereal indie-pop--as refreshing as a cold ruby ale on a hot day; the kind of thing you want to cue up while you're hanging in the hammock. And all that points to a promising followup to We Found a Lovebird's second album, 2016's Lobby--an effort the Straight called "delectably dreamy".

Catch We Found a Lovebird Saturday (July 14) at the Railway Stage & Beer Café.
