The Matinee, Early Spirit, Twin Bandit set to hit scenic Mission Folk Music Festival stage this weekend

      Construction season getting too much? Get out of town to the Mission Folk Music Festival this weekend, Friday to Sunday (July 20 to 22), in Fraser River Heritage Park, for some great roots music from all over Canada.

      Main stage performers include the Matinee, Early Spirit which features Spirit of the West cofounder J. Knutson and friends, Korean acoustic group Noreum Machi, Vancouver songbirds Twin Bandit, Montreal-based African world music rocker Elage Diouf, Ontario’s master wordsmith David Francey, Alberta’s leading folk songwriter James Keelaghan, and the new old-time music of Pharis and Jason Romero from Horsefly in the Cariboo.

      Take it all in with the snow-covered dome of Mt. Baker in the background.
