      FRIDAY: local power-trio Cobra Ramone plays the Railway Stage & Beer Café, with guests No Liars and Another Man's Gold.

      FRIDAY: Chicago tribute band West Coast Chicago performs the hits of the horn-based pop-rock group from the '70s at Hastings Racecourse.

      SATURDAY: American electronic-pop band Vacationer plays the Biltmore Cabaret, with guests Sego.

      SATURDAY: English rock band the Psychedelic Furs, led by singer Richard Butler, plays the Commodore Ballroom.

      SATURDAY: Pacific Sound Radio Presents features performances by the Long War, Jasper Sloan Yip, Old. Soul. Rebel, and Year of the Wolf at the Rickshaw Theatre.

      SATURDAY: Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival features 10 jazz bands on two outdoor stages, jazz buskers, and an artwalk with 12 local art galleries and studios at Fort Langley Community Hall.

      SATURDAY: the Live Agency presents Vancouver rock 'n' roll quartet the Wicked High at the Railway Stage and Beer Café.

      SATURDAY: Clone, Cass King & the Next Right Thing, and the Top Boost play a fundraiser to support Girl’s Rock Camp Vancouver at the Fairview Pub.

      SUNDAY: the Rogue Folk Club presents RogueFEST, with free performances by Sue Malcolm, the Rocket Revellers, Viper Central, and Van Django, at Granville Island's The Chain & Forge.

      SUNDAY: the John Stetch Trio plays a Jazz Vespers show at North Vancouver's St. Andrew's United Church.

      SUNDAY: Vancouver folk-rock band Hollow Twin, fronted by Emmalee Watts and Becky Wosk, plays a pay-what-you-can gig at Guilt and Co.

      SUNDAY: Vancouver alt-rockers Mellt play a fundraiser for the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre at Railway Stage and Beer Café, with guests If Not, Winter, Ka Pala, Rachael Schroeder, and Antony Knight.
