      FRIDAY: the Live Agency presents local soul-funk band Cheap Jacuzzi at Railway Stage and Beer Café, with guests the VanRays and Beyond Land.

      SATURDAY: the Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival at Deer Lake Park features performances by Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats (above), the Rural Alberta Advantage, Nikki Lane, the Suffers, Begonia, and Amythyst Kiah.

      SATURDAY: California-based black-metal band Deafheaven plays the Imperial, with guests Drab Majesty and Uniform.

      SATURDAY: Las Vegas rock band Panic! at the Disco plays Rogers Arena, with guests Hayley Kiyoko and Arizona.
