Nikki Lane, the Suffers, Begonia, Amythyst Kia, and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats all brought their brand of blues and roots music to Deer Lake this weekend.

The long-running Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival had plenty of sunshine this year, as well as some rain to clear the air by the time the headliner, Rateliff, took the stage.

The Missouri-born, Denver-raised bluesman and his band thrilled their fans with cuts from their newest disc, Tearing at the Seams.

After last night's show in Burnaby, they're off to Marymoor Park in Seattle today for their next gig.

Below, you can see some of the images being passed around over social media from the Deer Lake festival.
