TMZ.com is reporting that rapper Mac Miller had been dead for hours before police were summoned to his home in San Fernando Valley last Friday.
Operators at 911 got a call around noon reporting that the 26-year-old had been found unresponsive in his bedroom. The caller told 911 operators that Miller had suffered cardiac arrest. The rapper had been scheduled for a video shoot that day that he never made.
In a post today, TMZ.com reports that, according to its police department sources, the home appeared to have been swept clean of drugs, except for trace amounts of white powder, before the call was made. Friends had been partying with Miller the night before, and into the early hours of the morning.
An official cause of death has yet to be announced, with a coroner’s report not expected for another four to six weeks.
