Avril Lavigne is dead and has been replaced by a look-alike, according to some weirdo in Brazil

Beatles fans of a certain vintage will no doubt remember the "Paul is dead" hypothesis, in which Paul McCartney had supposedly been killed in a car crash some time around late 1966 and had been replaced by a look-alike. Either the story was complete hogwash or the faux-Paul was a really good impersonator, because he continues to fool the masses to this day.

Avril Lavigne hasn't quite achieved McCartney-esque status, but there is at least one person who is convinced the Canadian pop star died years ago, and the version we see today is an imposter. Or possibly a clone.

The Brazilian blogger behind this theory says Lavigne died some time after the release of her first album, 2002's Let Go, and was replaced. The new Avril—who may or may not be named Melissa—has allegedly left all sorts of clues that reveal this deception, but has never come right and admitted it, of course.

Not convinced? Consider the following (translated from the original Portuguese by Google):

1- Different faces, especially the nose (Confirmed by specialist).

2- Avril average 1.58 in 2002, the new Avril measures 1.55 (People do not decrease in size, only in old age).

3- The voice of the new Avril besides being thinner, she can not reach the same notes that the old Avril got in the songs. (Ex: Complicated and I'm With You)

4- The subliminal messages of the CD Under My Skin, and more messages hidden in clips.

5- Evan Taubenfeld left the band the year Under My Skin was released and made a song saying that he lost his best friend.

6- The calligraphy has changed (The new Avril even uses another autograph).

7 - Sudden and sudden change of personality, way of being, style, etc. Old Avril said she would never wear fluffy diva-style outfits. (She hated female singers, and she repudiated the term "diva.") The new one dresses this way and gets the title of diva and does not care.

9- Old Avril said she would never show the camera body. The new one does this in clips and photo shoots.

10- The old Avril said she would never join pop style with dancers doing choreography on stage. The nova does all this.

11- When questioned about it by the Band, she disagreed. The interviewer insisted and called her a clone, and she was silent and lowered her head.

12- Birth marks (pints) that the new one has and the true one did not have / Marks that the true one had and the new does not have / E marks that the original had and the new one has however out of place, suggesting that it is an artificially created brand by plastic.

Well, Lavigne has finally responded to the rumours. In a Halloween interview with Australia’s KIIS 106.5 radio station, the singer said: “Yeah, some people think that I’m not the real me which is so weird! Like, why would they even think that?”

      Whatever you say, Melissa!
