If Josie has the Pussycats, should Archie have the Steadies?

An argument for that case was made at Guilt and Co. in Vancouver's Gastown on December 15 when actor KJ Apa, who plays Archie on drama TV series Riverdale, took to the stage to rip it up on guitar with Saskatoon power trio The Steadies.

The Steadies' features Earl Pereira (a founding member of Wide Mouth Mason) on lead vocals and bass, along with Jesse James Clark on guitar and vocals and Kurtis Schultz on drums and vocals.

KJ Apa has been making a series of appearances on local stages with musical acts.

He and costar Ashleigh Murray, who plays Josie and Pussycats lead singer Josie McCoy on Riverdale, accompanied Norway's DJ Kygo in a performance of his single "It Ain't Me" on July 7 at FVDED in the Park in Surrey.

In October 2017, Apa played guitar on stage with U.S. jazz-blues artist Ron Artis II at the Railway Stage and Beer Café.

Riverdale remains in production on Season 3 in Vancouver until April 19 so until then, there remain many more opportunities for Apa to jam with other musicians if he so pleases.
