With the winter rains officially upon us, holiday-season festivities behind us, and Christmas credit-card bills starting to arrive, it's once again obvious why January is the cruellest month of the year.

Normally, the thing to do would be to drink your troubles away, the problem being that you've decided to give your liver a break until at least January 10.

Luckily, there is something to live for today, namely a new offering from the high priestess of sad pop, Lana Del Rey.

The 33-year-old chanteuse has just previewed, via Instagram, a new song from her forthcoming album Norman Fucking Rockwell. We're happy to report that the song's decidedly wordy title—“hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have—but I have it"—is every bit as great as the name she's given to her sixth full-length, which is due in the summer of this year.

Listen above. And then, as you marvel at lines like "I've been tearing around in my fucking nightgown/24-7 Sylvia Plath," console yourself with the knowledge that, despite all evidence to the contrary, things really are more beautiful than they might currently seem.
