It's no secret that we love Dan Mangan around here. We've put the guy on our cover not once, but twice. We even had him come into Straight HQ and play an unplugged set to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary.

So it's always pretty exciting when Mangan releases new music—even if it's a cover of another artist. Today, he put out this soulful rendition of the classic Neutral Milk Hotel track "In the Aeorplane Over the Sea". We dig it and we think you will too:

As Mike Usinger reported earlier today, Mangan has been announced as one of the headliners for this year's Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival, which takes place Saturday (August 10) at Deer Lake Park.
