AC/DC recorder Mike Fraser admits he's been in the studio with the band recently, "thinks" Brian Johnson was singing

Yesterday local rock producer/engineer/mixer Mike Fraser posted a link on his Facebook page to a YouTube video of an interview he did last month with Australian record-masterer and podcaster Tony "Jack the Bear" Mantz.

The interview is almost an hour long, but for all those hardcore AC/DC freaks who got all riled up by the rumours about the band recording in Vancouver last August, it adds a bit more fuel to the fire.

At around the 37-minute mark the heavily tattooed Mantz asks Fraser if there's any truth to the rumour that there's another AC/DC album in the works, and the straightshooter doesn't deny it.

"Umm..well yeah I could say that we've been in the studio doing something," Fraser says with a grin. "What's come of that I can't discuss yet, but uh..."

"With Brian singing?" Mantz prods, referring to longtime AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, who was replaced by Axl Rose for the last tour, but who might be back in the fold.

"I think so," Fraser replies, laughing.

Well, if he "thinks" that that was Johnson bellowing into the mic at Gastown's Warehouse Studio, and is fairly sure it wasn't Axl--or even Angry Anderson, who some folks are rooting for--that's good enough for me.

Bring on the new AC/DC album with Brian Johnson please! And if you wanna cram a whole shitload of old Malcolm Young guitar tracks on there, Fraze, I'm up for that as well!
