On Our Radar: The Black Keys video for "Go" shows once again that sometimes bandmates grow to hate each other

One of the unfortunate realities of being in a band is things can deteriorate to the point where people can't stand their creative partners.

The Ramones toured for a decade and a half (right up to their dissolution) with singer Joey Ramone and guitarist Johnny Ramones refusing to speak a word to each other. (The late Rebublican-loving axeman is reputed to have ignited the feud by stealing the late frontman's girlfriend).

Bassist Peter Hook spent years playing with New Order before quitting the group, which he later sued for royalties. Despite the band's members looking more or less happy on stage before the breakup, he later revealed that they "fucking hated each other".

What do the Pixies have in common with Van Halen, the Beatles, the Kinks, Blink-182, and the Police? Egos led to bandmates hating each other.

You know when things are doubly horrible on the friction-front? That would be when there are only two people in the band.

Watch below as the Black Keys--singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patric Carney--return from a five-year-lay off with "Go", evidently unable to resolve the differences that drove them apart in the first place.
