      FRIDAY: American pop singer-songwriter Greyson Chance plays the Fox Cabaret.

      FRIDAY: local band Necking performs a record-release show at Red Gate, with guests Emma Lee Toyoda (Seattle), Security Guard, and Bedwetters Anonymous.

      FRIDAY: singer, pianist, and trumpet player Bonnie Northgraves performs with her jazz quartet at Tyrant Studios.

      SATURDAYItamar Erez and Les Finnigan are featured in a double bill of original acoustic-guitar music at West Point Grey United Church.

      SATURDAY: frontman for the Monophonics, Kelly Finnigan, leads his eight-piece soul band the Atonements at the Rickshaw Theatre.

      SATURDAY: Seattle space-rock band X SUNS plays the Pub 340, with guests A Collective Subconscious and Griefwalker. 

      SATURDAY: the East Van Garage Fest features short sets by Mecca Normal, Great Speckled Fritillary, Primp, Pudding, Non La, Rambone & the Wet Reality, the Psychic Alliance, Yep, Shitlord Fuckerman, the Plodes, Tim the Mute, Kylie V, and Hitori.

      SATURDAY: vocalist Dane Warren joins the Bruce James Orchestra for an evening of Sinatra classics at the Hungarian Cultural Centre.

      SUNDAY: Pink Floyd tribute band from Britain, Brit Floyd, plays the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
