Self-isolating on St. Patrick's Day? Dropkick Murphys' live-stream concert will help you get your Irish up

You're doing the civically responsible thing and practicing social distancing, right? Of course you are. If you're of Irish descent, however—or merely enjoy pretending you are once a year so you can get hopelessly plastered on green beer—that creates a dilemma right about now. Tomorrow (March 17) is St. Patrick's Day. Usually, that means a number of things: consumption of improbable quantities of Guinness, lines around the block to get into the Blarney Stone, and dollar stores selling out of Made-in-China leprechaun hats.

For almost a quarter of a century it has also meant a riotously rollicking performance by Boston-based Celtic punk champs Dropkick Murphys.

This year, the band has decided that the show must go on—online, that is. On the weekend, Dropkick Murphys took to Twitter to announce that this year's St. Patrick's Day gig would be streamed live, for the benefit of anyone who can't be there in person. Which means, you know, everyone.

The concert is scheduled to kick off Tuesday at 4 p.m. PST and will be streaming on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook Live, and Twtich. See the Dropkick Murphy's website for full details.
