Country and alt-rock singer-songwriter Dallas Smith has added more hardware to his trophy case.

Last night, the Juno winner captured Album of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Association gala in Halifax for Lifted. The full-length disc was recorded in Nashville.

Smith was born and raised in Langley and was introduced to country music by his mom. In 2013, he toured with Bob Seger across Canada.
