My Favourite Thing is a video feature where the Georgia Straight gets interesting folks from around town to list off, among other things, their favourite performers, live gigs, and singers. And, of course, their favourite thing.

Referring to themselves as "narrators of the adventures and tragedies of youth", Vancouver-based duo Mu (Brittney Rand and Francesca Belcourt) create synthpop loaded with harmonious vocals, dreamy synthesizers, and lyrics that often draw on existential crises. Earlier this week, the Straight caught up with Rand and Belcourt at one of their favourite places in the city—one where they frequently source costumes and props for their live shows—to find out about a few of their favourite things. 

Hot on the heels of the release of their brand new EP, II (released on February 12 on Boompa), Mu will open for Dralms this Thursday at the Fox Cabaret. Check out the video below to find out about Rand and Belcourt's favourite album covers, favourite live show, and more.
