Zolas break out the switchblades for "Swooner" video

A few weeks back the Georgia Straight was thrilled to profile hometown heroes the Zolas, with John Lucas praising the group's latest, Swooner, as a "corker" of a record from a "weird, intelligent pop band."

Today, confirmation of that assessment comes in the shape of a new video for the title track, in which switchblades are wielded, hairdos achieve impressive heights, and a heart appears to be ripped from singer Zachary Grey's chest and then squeezed until there's nothing left in its various chambers.

      Enjoy.
