Burnaby-born singer Michael Bublé and Argentine actor Luisana Lopilato confirmed that their three-year-old son, Noah, has been diagnosed with cancer.

Noah Bublé is the couple's eldest son. They also have another son, Elias, who is 10 months old.

"We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the U.S.," Bublé said in a statement. "Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy."

After Bublé underwent vocal cord surgery earlier this year, his ninth studio album, Nobody But Me, was released on October 21.

The Canadian singer had a number of upcoming appearances scheduled, including touring to promote his album.

He was slated to film a Christmas special for NBC and perform at the BBC Music Awards in London, England, on December 12.

He was also scheduled to host the Brit Awards in London on February 22 and also Canada's Juno Awards in Ottawa on April 2.
