If you like Balkan rhythms and odd time signatures (come out of the closet, we know you’re there), then you won’t want to miss the Vancouver debut of Stefce Stojkovski from Macedonia.

A master traditional musician, he plays a range of instruments like the gaida bagpipes, the kaval flute, and the tambura lute, plus he’s a fine singer and dancer.

When Stojkovski comes to the WISE Hall on Saturday (November 19), he’ll play solo and with three local Balkan outfits—Grupa Dunbarov, Djeram Tamburitza Band, and Zlatna Mountain—as well as with U.S. performer David Bilides.

Put on your goatskins and boogie on down to the bash.
