Crystal Castles has cancelled all upcoming tour dates, including a show at Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre originally scheduled for Friday (November 3), following allegations of abuse against founding member Ethan Kath.

The accusations were put forth by the electro-punk duo’s former vocalist, Alice Glass.

“My music, my performances and my fans were all I had in the world,” she wrote. “I gave that up and started over not because I wanted to but because I had to. As difficult as it was, I knew that leaving was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

Kath, in a statement issued to Pitchfork via his attorney, has since refuted these claims. However, it looks like the allegations have sent Kath and his team into hiding, at least temporarily. In total, 15 Crystal Castles shows have been cancelled, including performances in San Francisco, Toronto, and Portland that were planned as part of a North American tour.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

According to the Vogue Theatre’s website, folks who purchased tickets to the group’s Vancouver show will be refunded at the point of purchase.
