As far as comebacks go, Adele's is proceeding flawlessly...so far.
After being out of the limelight for a few years, the British singer-songwriter seems to be everywhere after releasing her new single.
Adele is on the cover of British Vogue and Vogue magazine in two different looks.
Her new song, "Easy on Me", has more than 63 million views on YouTube, as of this writing. It remains the top-trending music-related video and fourth overall on the social-media channel.
And her clips of her recent interview with BBC 1's Greg James are being shown around the world.
Adele told James that "Easy on Me" was the first song that she wrote for her soon-to-be-released new album, 30.
She's now 33, but her world was rocked at 30 when she split from her husband, Simon Konecki.
She confessed to bawling her eyes out when she wrote and sang "Easy on Me", which could be seen as a catharsis from her divorce.
"I was quite shocked that I got it out right away," Adele told the BBC interviewer.
The new single's lyrics might also be interpreted as a plea for understanding from her fans. And like so many of her previous songs, it's full of emotion.
"It felt like that was what people were missing from me—people who like my music," Adele said.
