Live Nation has just announced that Avril Lavigne will play Vancouver next spring on her first Canadian headline tour in over 10 years.

The Ontario pop-rocker, best known for hits like "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi", will perform at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on Tuesday, May 24.

Opening acts are grandson and Mod Sun.

Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday (December 3) at 10 am at Ticketmaster.
